On 25 May 2026, representatives from the Peninsula Climate Alliance met with Mornington Peninsula Shire as part of the development of the new Climate Resilience Plan.

This workshop provided an opportunity for local environmental and community organisations to share their knowledge, lived experience and priorities for building a more resilient Mornington Peninsula. Discussions explored climate adaptation, hazard mitigation, biodiversity protection and sustainable infrastructure, with participants helping to identify the actions they believe will have the greatest impact.

The attached workshop summary provides an overview of the key themes discussed, how participants prioritised proposed actions, and the next steps in developing the Climate Resilience Plan.

We thank the Shire for engaging with community organisations through this process and look forward to continuing to contribute local knowledge and practical experience as the Plan evolves.
